Pregnancy Ups and Downs

Pregnancy has been very hard at times, but it has also been one of the most fun and rewarding things I have ever done.

It has had so many ups and downs, and I could not have done it without the support of my family, but most especially, my amazing husband.
The Hard (not so enjoyable) Parts
- Heartburn/acid reflux (waking up choking in the middle of the night)
-Swollen legs and feet leading to:
-Ingrown toenails
-Bloating
-Morning sickness
-Baby's foot in my rib cage
-Stretch Marks
-Acne
-No cravings (I have not had one fun food craving! This is what I was looking forward to 😔)
-Only wanting cereal (NOT a fun craving, just the only thing that didn't upset my stomach)
-Starving but not wanting to actually eat anything
-Not knowing (they say when it happens you'll know... WRONG)
-I have had contractions and so many weird pains that I do not know what they are,and one time I swore I was in labor, but it turns out it was false labor. I am not sure I will ever know until my baby is actually here!

The Fun (enjoyable) Parts
-Feeling His Hiccups
-Being able to feel him flip-flop around in my belly
-Connecting to him before he is actually here
-Finding baby stuff (there are way too many cute baby things!!)
-Compliments (everyone is so nice! I have struggled with my body through this journey and have not felt very pretty, but everyone has been so kind and have given me so many compliments on my baby belly)
-Excitement (I cannot wait for him to get here. It is less than 1 month away and the excitement just keeps going up and up!!)
-Tickling his foot when he sticks it out (he likes to stick his foot out, but he doesn’t keep it there very long,so when I have the chance I have to tickle it and then he pulls it back in. It is so fun to have these small interactions with my baby boy)
-Rubbing his bum when it is making my stomach look like a bulging, broken soccer ball (He also loves to stick out his rear end and make my stomach look deformed)
-Ultrasounds (hearing heartbeat, seeing his squished perfect face)
-Feeling his practice breaths make my stomach shake
-His reactions when I poke him (he will move away most of the time, or if I am lucky,he will kick me back)
-Second trimester sleeping (I slept so good and so deep in my second trimester)
-My belly looking like an ocean (watching it move and seeing the waves that he is making inside of me)
-Feeling him change (he goes through growth spurts and I feel his change in his type of movements. he started with kicking, but now he no longer kicks, just mostly sticks body parts out or moves his whole body around)
One of the main things I have learned while going through this journey is that you will never know what to expect, and no one can prepare you for it. I have gotten so many tips and different opinions on things, and I realized that NOT ONE pregnancy is the same. Everyone experiences so many different things with every pregnancy. It is good to hear about other people's experiences, but that does not mean that is how it will go for you.But there is one thing that I have heard from every woman that I talk to about pregnancy and that is: IT’S WORTH IT! Even though some are harder than others, the baby will make it so worth it in the end.

We CANNOT wait to meet our little boy!!
Like I said before, pregnancy has been very hard at times, but I would not change a thing!I can not wait to meet my baby boy! If you guys have similar experience or tips for dealing with some of the harder parts, comment or message me! Even though every pregnancy is different, I still love to hear about other’s experiences.
